Okay I have itouc and I jailbreak it and I have some awesome sounds like ringtones and keyboard clicks and stuff. Well how do I somehow export or copy those songs (either through ifile or files haring with a download app) onto the computer then plug phone into computer and copy the sounds onto my phone? And would it work? Basically I want to get sounds and ringtones from my itouch to my phone: how do I do that? And/or is there a good website to download cool sounds and ringtones for the phone?

I have an iPhone 4. I know the whole method for taking an MP3 file and converting it to to a ringtone file (M4R) and add it to the "Ringtones" folder in iTunes. I know how to sync the phone. I know about the "Ringtones" tab at the top (of iTunes) that allows you to specifically sync ringtones. But no matter what method I try, the ringtones in the iTunes library are never added to the iPhone's ringtone list.

Oddly, I actually did manage to get two ringtones onto the phone (many months ago), and the last time I "sync'd" the phone, it actually deleted the two ringtones, even though I'd not deleted or deselected them.

Any suggestions?

My phone is a Samsung Intensity II and I used www.iwfr.net to snip an MP3 file down to around 20 seconds so it'd be a good ringtone (Kyoto by Skrillex feat. Sirah).I then tried sending it to my phone through my gmail account but the text msg said "Attachment(s) out_Kyoto.mp3 removed".I also cannot make an MP3 that I already have on my phone a ringtone.Is there a way to make the MP3 file to go to "my ringtones" instead of "my music" so I can set it as my ringtone/alert?If you know of any other way please share? I mainly listen to rock and ambient and electronic music, but I have a preference for acts with a high level of musicianship, originality and experimentation. I believe that I could develop an appreciation for classical music, but I have virtually no knowledge of classical composers outside of the much-lauded names like Beethoven, Mozart etc. The only classical I've listened to in any seriousness has been Philip Glass.

I downloaded a 'best classical compositions of all time' compilation, and I enjoy many of the songs; however, passages I'm listening to for the first time often turn into motifs that have been flogged on everything from movies to TV commercials to ringtones, and that kind of ruins it for me. So, to any classical music enthusiasts – I'm after the names of some classic composers who are perhaps not as highly regarded as the big, commonplace names; but are still renowned. Things that I won't have heard before; ever.

im in england, i was bought a new blackberry device not so long ago from a relative….i havent hada modern mobile phone for years….my last nokia phone the battery failed…so i didnt bother to buy a new mobile phone for years……this one is pay as you use – which is what i prefer.

but im not used to all this modern technology…..ive not had any modern device like this for about 5 years.

im just beginning to try and find my way around the phone…..the phoneshop worker did help me with settings etc.

i know there is blackberry app world which i will try at some point.

but if i wanted a special ringtone for my phone…like say off a tv show from youtube or a tv soundtrack, step by stephow could i do it?
